JHES Virtual Turkey Trot
We are very excited to announce that we will be having our annual Turkey Trot. It is our goal to provide a virtual display of students who want to share how they fit exercise in their lives and the importance of it. Each student who voluntarily participates and completes the run/walk turkey trot requirements within the allotted days allowed will be entered into a drawing. One boy and one girl per grade will be chosen in a raffle to receive a Wegmans gift card donated by our awesome PTA!
Event Dates: Must be completed between November 1st-16th
Distance: Grades K, 1, 2- 1/2 mile, Grades 3, 4, 5- 1 mile,
Location: Your choice
Choose which virtual display works for you.
Record your child’s full run or walk. If your video is longer than 10 minutes, then 2 videos must be uploaded to Flipgrid.
Upload a video to Flipgrid that shows your child finishing their run or walk with an app that displays your distance or steps using a gps or step counter, etc. (Time does not need to be shown)
**4 laps on a high school track and 2,000 steps equals a mile.
