Read and Write for Google Chrome

It has reader software that works with our library articles, websites, and alternate format textbooks. RW also includes speech-to-text to assist with typing, and OCR (optical character recognition) capabilities for scanned articles or inaccessible websites. Learn more about Read and Write here.
We encourage all families, especially our families of primary students or those still perfecting their reading skills, to add this extension to your child's device if it is not already added. This will help to increase their independence with reading and writing tasks. See below for more information about accessing this extension.
- Click the purple puzzle piece (rw) at the top right hand corner of the screen.
2. The Read and Write tool bar will appear at the top of your screen.
3. Highlight the text or word that you want read, then, click the play arrow in the Read and Write tool bar.
