Hello Jeffers Hill Families and Students!

Tomorrow is going to be a VERY EXCITING day!  All students will have the opportunity to meet virtually with their teacher and classmates for a short orientation and learn a litte more about the school year.  Parents are encouraged to join the orientation, as well. Please read below for times of the sessions and more information about accessing your grade level orientation. 

• All New Families to Jeffers Hill-  12:30 - 1:15 pm, Google Meet Code: WelcometoJHES, Link: http://g.co/meet/WelcometoJHES
•  Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Grade- 1:15 - 2:00 pm
• 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade- 2:00 - 2:45 pm

Please also stop in to say ‘Hello!’ to our fabulous Related Arts team before or after your session.  They will be hosting a Meet and Greet session from 1:45 - 2:30 pm. Use the code JHESRA or the link http://g.co/meet/jhesra.

To access your orientation, please do the following:

1. Make sure you are logged in using your HCPSS username and password.
2. Click on Google Meet
3. Enter the Google Meet Access Code
4. You can bypass steps 1-3, by clicking on the Google Meet Link embedded in this document. 

Items to Note:

• Students will be meeting with the teacher of their first class on their daily schedule. Kindergarteners only have 1 classroom teacher. For 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade, this will be the teacher designated as their ELA teacher. For 2nd and 4th grade, this will be designated as their math teacher.   
• Teachers will open their session approximately 5 minutes before the scheduled start time.  You will not be able to enter the meeting until after the teacher has initiated the session. 
• If you receive an error message or it indicates that you are not allowed to join the meeting, it is likely because you are not logged in using your HCPSS username and password.
• The code you use to access your session will be the same code you need to use on Tuesday morning at 9:00 am for the first day of school! 
• Visit www.hcpss.org/connect and then click on Synergy to determine the names of your child's teachers.
• Visit Account Self Service if your child can't remember their username and password or is new to HCPSS.
