JHES Black History Month Writing Contest 2022

In celebration of Black History Month, JHES is sponsoring a writing contest for students in grades K-5.

All submissions must be accompanied by the provided SUBMISSION COVER SHEET. Students may submit ONE ENTRY PER GENRE. Students must include a separate cover sheet for each submission.

All entries must be submitted by Thursday, February 17. 

Winners will be announced on the intercom on February 21, 2022. 

Winning entries will be provided the opportunity to present their writing on

Wednesday, February 23 

at our Black History Month Event at Busboy and Poets in Columbia, Maryland
