Jeffers Hill Elementary Student Supply List 2011-12

Notes to Parents: You may bring your child’s supplies to the Open House.
DONATIONS are appreciated.  Each grade has listed items that they would appreciate receiving for their class.  Throughout the year, your child’s teacher may identify other items for donation that would be appreciated.  
The School is asking for donations of Hand Sanitizer (62% ethyl alcohol, no aloe) in medium pump size to give to each classroom teacher.
PLEASE REPLENISH SUPPLIES DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR!!

KINDERGARTEN                                    3 marble composition books                      
12 #2 pencils   (Sharpened)                             4 plain colored pocket folders w/fasteners

Please note the following information concerning next school year:
Open House - All parents and students are invited on Friday, August 26, 2011, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm to meet their teacher and see their classrooms.  A postcard will be sent home with the name of your child’s teacher.
Bus Schedules – The bus routes are published in the local newspapers (The Columbia Flyer, The Howard County Times) on Thursday, August 25, 2011.  They will also be posted on the front door of the school. Or go to the website for the school system for the bus numbers and routes:  www.hcpss.org.
First Day of School – The first day of school will be August 29, 2011.  
HCPSS School Calendar/Handbooks – The school calendar/handbook
will be given out one per family during the first week of school.

Third grade students will have the opportunity to purchase a music recorder in the Fall to be used in music class grade 3-5.  A letter will be sent home with students.

FOURTH GRADE

3 packs (wide rule) notebook paper

1 box crayons (no more than 32)
1 pair scissors

2 highlighters

FIFTH GRADE
